Samantha the amazing and powerful!

Guess what? We had a live interview in our classroom. Our interview was with Samantha. She works at St. Marry's Hospital. Samantha went to school at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She earned a doctor of pharmacy which is a graduate degree. Samantha works at St. Marry's Hospital. She had to take specific classes in biology and medical science to join the school of Pharmacy.

Samantha said her job is like a safety officer. Nurses and doctors call her then she picks the right, and safe medicine so the patient can go back home again. She takes orders from doctors and nurses. She tells the nurses and doctors the safe mixture of medicines. She said she has to double check  work.

She works as a team with other pharmacists. Samantha said there are two types of pharmacists hospital and retail. Before she worked at the hospital she worked at Target. Every medication at the hospital is her responsibility. Samantha said  now that she works at the hospital she misses talking to her patients. She works the evening shift 24 hours a day for 7 days. The first job is to check to make sure the medicine is correct. She needs to remember to stay calm so she doesn't make any mistakes. Samantha is not only working at St. Marry's she works at different areas in Illinois like Effingham. She was good at math and science. That's why she wanted to be a pharmacist.
